Local Event Rules & Guidelines
|
 
Before posting your local event, there are some rules and guidelines that you must follow. If you do not
follow these rules and guidelines, your ad will not be approved. Please read the following instructions or guidelines prior
to posting an event.
Instructions for Posting:
- Provide as much information as possible for the event (as requested on the form that follows this page).
- If you are not involved in the event, you are probably not the person that should be posting this information.
- The description box, on the form that follows, should include information such as prices, directions, a short description,
as well as any dress code or special instructions.
- If the event has a webpage, include the URL in the appropriate box (as noted above, if you are not involved in the
project and don't have all the information, your listing could be less than complete.
- The username and password that you enter is one that you choose and must remember - do not use your Internet account
username/password combination.
- After submitting your event, you will be e-mailed a confirmation - your e-mail address is REQUIRED.
- Events are subject to approval by members of the Sarnia Online team.
- Once the event has been approved, you will be notified of it's approval and will then be provided with instructions
on maintaining the event. The username and password combination that you supplied will be made functional for maintenance.
- Your username and password can be a combination of letters and numbers, uppercase and lowercase but may not contain any
strange characters.
- You are responsibile for the content of the event information. The username and password that you select is your means
of editing such.
- Event officials, with proof, can have listings removed and/or username/passwords changed.
Guidelines:
- Events are to be in and for the Sarnia/Lambton area ONLY.
- You may post the events as much as 12 months in advance.
- Special characters, to draw attention to your event, are not permitted in the event names.
- Please attempt to use correct spelling and grammar. Using all capital letters is a sure way of keeping your event from being listed.
- This is a community/all ages site - keep that in mind.
- Abusers will lose privileges to post.
- We reserve the right to remove and/or reject any event listings.
